Taksim to Şişli walking tour

 

Route: Starting from Taksim square to Şişli Mosque as you will see on the map below.

This tour is a journey in recent history, we will be around 150  years historical places and events. Not old like Hagia Sophia…

This tour is dedicated to journalists, as we will see  the monuments of some Turkish journalists on the way.

We will see St Esprit Cathedral, The Cathedral of the Holy SpiritIt is the second largest Roman Catholic church in the city after the Basilica of S. Antonio di Padova. The church was built in Baraque style iin 1846. St. Esprit has been a destination of several papal visits to Turkey, including those of Pope Paul VI, Pope John Paul II, Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis. A statue of Pope Benedict XV stands in the courtyard of the cathedral.

The world’s biggest military museum. ( It takes long time so just outside and the garden)
